Born and raised in Indianapolis, Jay Loud is a 20-year-old singer, songwriter
and rapper, whose eclectic style showcases his diverse musical background and range. Growing up in the Midwest, in a home where Oldies, Hip-Hop, and R&B music was consistently played, Jay learned about music and melodies early-on, and began to develop his singing and writing talents as a child. Into his teenage years he would begin rapping in school. He’d also find influence across the country in the West and in nearby states like Chicago, with their drill rap scene featuring Chief Keef, G Herbo and more. He’d also liken his multitalented skills to the Windy City’s producer, singer and writer Jeremih.
Although he used music as an outlet to escape his young and troubled past, Jay eventually left Naptown to begin life anew in Washington State. While attempting to start a new chapter in Tacoma, Jay soon found himself homeless, staying in a shelter for a few months. During his days of looking for a job, Jay eventually came across the blessing of a lifetime. After overhearing him singing, a new friend of his scheduled a studio session to meet a musical frontrunner in Seattle, Taj King.
From there, Jay ended up signing to Taj King Ent., honing in on his musical talents, enough to catch the ears of Bay Area gatekeeper EMPIRE. His debut label release “Nap Town” surpassed over 1 million streams and couting in less than 6 months. He’s now signed and ready to release his debut project. Ahead of its release, Jay’s premiered via ELEVATOR, “Lick,” and again on ELEVATOR, “Sideshow.” Jay also connected with Seattle’s Lazā for his ABOVE ALL premiere “Zoom.” Providing a first-hand look into his forthcoming project, Jay Loud released the single/video to “Ice Cream Man” on August 30, 2019, via ELEVATOR.
